Music City, Part 1

So, Heather and I have been living in Nashville for a little over four months now. It's been a crazy time.

We had her mom and sister, as well as my dad, come down to help with the move from North Carolina. That was the largest number of people we've had stay with us for more than a few hours. It was nice though. Once you've emptied the rental truck with just two people, help is greatly appreciated.

The right, front tire seperated at some point near the NC/TN border in the Smoky Mountains. "It started out low, then it began to grow." The vibration reached teeth-rattling intensity. Of course we stopped to look at the tires and check any number of levels; oil, transmission, brake fluid, and air pressure. The first two stops yielded no visible oddities. The right, front tire had a higher pressure than the others, but that was it.

The third stop at a rest area revealed the missing rubber. By that point we'd traveled maybe one hundred miles. Luckily we found a tire seller/repairer within two exits of the rest area who sold us a decent used tire to get us to Nashville.
