An innovative three-year doctoral program designed for working professionals, this course of study is intended to enhance mid-career leadership capacities and intellectual understanding for those aspiring to elevated organizational responsibility or expanded community or civic influence.

The Doctor of Education Degree (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Policy, offered by the Department of Leadership, Policy & Organizations, is intended specifically for practicing professionals, enabling participants to gain greater understanding of human learning; educational institutions; interaction of the larger society with education; educational, financial, and governance arrangements; and means by which research can be conducted and appropriately applied.

Program Subspecialties

Higher Education Administration:
The goal of the Ed.D. program in Higher Education Leadership and Policy is to equip practitioners with a variety of theoretical and research-based perspectives to assure the effective operation of colleges and universities. more »
